Trailblazers

A pre-apprenticeship program in the trades for women and gender non-conforming individuals. Trailblazers requires no experience, is 7 weeks long, and offers:

  • Hands-on training covering core trades skills
  • Nationally recognized certifications
  • A safe and welcoming learning environment
  • Mentorship for career planning and apprenticeship placement

Peer & Employment Support

Pathways Vermont offers one-on-one employment support services for adults, in-person or remotely. Meetings are at the Community Center (279 N. Winooski Avenue, Burlington) and can be scheduled around your needs.

Employment support can include help with job seeking, resume and cover letter writing, and more.

Pathways also offers Peer Assisted Vocational Employment (PAVE), which covers the above services plus ongoing employment support and collaboration.

Career Support for Women

Vermont Works for Women’s Employment and Career Services help Vermont women and gender–expansive individuals ages 16 and up gain skills that can lead to meaningful work and financial stability. Services include:

  • One-on-one career coaching
  • Resume and cover letter writing support
  • Mock job interviews
  • Access to job training and community support services
  • Networking
  • Self-paced online learning resources
  • And more

Inclusive Entrepreneurship

The inclusive entrepreneurship programs at Mercy Connections “provide education and access for people traditionally excluded from the business world.” The programs offer a variety of business coaching programming.

Community Center

Getting help finding a job is just one of the services at Pathway’s Community Center in Burlington’s Old North End. Work one-on-one with welcoming professionals and find community no matter what hurdles you’re facing in life.

The Pathways Vermont Community Center is a peer-run community center. The Community Center is a place to feel supported and part of a community. Here you can take comfort in knowing that you are understood and surrounded by supportive energy. The center offers fun and engaging activities, interesting discussion circles, employment assistance and a space to relax, use a computer or wifi, and feel at ease.

Pathways also offers weekly, facilitated support groups for adults. Before attending, please contact Pathways to let them know you would like to attend. These groups cover many different topics and activities.
