Construction 101 prepares trainees for entry-level work in the construction trades. During this six-week course, participants earn the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 certification, National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) credentials, and receive job placement opportunities. A weekly training stipend is provided to all active participants.
Each trainee has access to the necessary tools of the trade. Students practice being on a construction crew, working collaboratively with their fellow trainees. They work on construction projects as they would on an actual job site. Class time is split between hands-on learning, building projects, and classroom training.

In this program you’ll learn how children develop and grow over time, how to keep our young people safe and healthy, how to teach, what to teach, how to work in partnership with families, and how to be a professional in the fields of both early childhood and general education.
This flexible, two-year program allows students to explore pathways in early childhood education (ECE), teaching, and related fields such as counseling and child care management. Experiences in classrooms and ECE centers allow students to apply their learning in real-world settings while earning industry-recognized credentials (IRCs) and dual-enrollment opportunities through Vermont State University (VTSU) and the Community College of Vermont (CCV).

This 2-year half-day program offers students the chance to experience the day-to-day operations of a fully functional auto repair shop, complete with real customers and real-world challenges. Guided by industry professionals, students will combine hands-on training with classroom learning to master the essential systems of modern automotive technology.
Through engaging theory lectures, student-driven research, computer-based learning tools, and lab exercises, you’ll explore a wide range of topics, including:

This program includes the following credentials: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Entry Level Certifications in Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Engine Performance, Engine Repair, Heating and Air Conditioning, Maintenance and Light Repair, Manual Drive Train and Axles, and Suspension and Steering; as well as Tire Service Training and Certification.
This two-year half-day program provides students with hands-on training in a live diesel repair shop, working with real customers and real equipment. Guided by experienced professionals, students explore key systems and skills, including diesel engines, fuel injection, electrical systems, hydraulics, air brakes, and preventive maintenance.
Students will also gain expertise in advanced engine overhaul techniques, tractor-trailer truck maintenance, and construction equipment repair. The program integrates theory-based lectures, field trips, and computer-based learning to ensure students understand both the mechanics and technology behind the equipment.
Qualified second-year students can apply for cooperative work experiences with local industry partners, gaining valuable real-world experience and building connections in the field. Leadership opportunities through Skills USA are also a key part of the program, helping students develop the soft skills needed to excel in the workforce.

This two-year program combines Conservation Equipment Operation, Wildlife Management, and Forest Science to prepare students for careers and post-secondary education in conservation, forestry, and environmental management. Through a mix of classroom learning, fieldwork, and industry collaboration, students gain a deep understanding of how to protect and sustainably manage forest ecosystems.
This program includes the following credentials: Game of Logging Chainsaw Safety Training Certification Levels 1, 2, 3, 4; Ducks Unlimited Ecology Conservation & Management; and LEAP Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certification.
This two-year program prepares students for diverse career paths in health professions, including patient care, healthcare administration, and biomedical technology. Students gain hands-on experience through a combination of classroom learning, clinical practice, job shadowing, and work-based learning opportunities. Key areas of study include medical terminology, professional healthcare standards, and an introduction to healthcare systems.
Students in this program are eligible to take the Vermont State Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) examination, enabling them to work in hospitals, residential care, and home health settings. Beyond certification, students explore advanced healthcare roles through shadowing professionals, participating in field trips, engaging with guest speakers, and competing in SkillsUSA events.

This year-long, full-day program provides a hands-on introduction to the food service industry through the operation of the Glass Onion Eatery, a fully functional commercial kitchen and restaurant. From day one, you’ll gain real-world experience in food preparation, restaurant operations, and hospitality.
In the first semester, students focus on foundational skills, including soups, sauces, entrees, breads, and desserts, while learning dining room service, catering, cashiering, and hosting. Field trips and school-to-work opportunities bring classroom learning to life.
During the second semester, students deepen their expertise with menu planning, costing, kitchen management, and off-campus catering. Customized curriculum and in-depth work experiences at local businesses allow students to tailor their education to their career goals. For those who want an extra challenge, SkillsUSA competitions provide the chance to shine on a larger stage.

This 2-year half-day program offers students an opportunity to create, run, and participate in a fully-functional theater company, either in the performance (AM) or technical (PM) track. Under the guidance of industry professionals, you’ll learn stagecraft, lighting design, sound engineering, set construction, costume design, and get to perform on the stages you build.
Students will produce a fall and spring season of shows for presentation in schools, theaters, and public spaces throughout the county. The English portion of A.R.T. explores classical dramaturgical literature, as well as related fiction and non-fiction writings. Students will write journals, plays, conduct research, and complete a career and technical-ready portfolio.
