This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.
Students in the Automotive Technology program will use high-tech equipment located in a state-of-the-art facility. Students receive theory instruction and hands-on performance in all Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) areas (brakes, steering and suspension, alignment, manual transmissions and transaxles, and electrical systems), which provide initial training for employment in the automotive service field or further training at a postsecondary institution. In order to successfully complete the program, students must pass the General Service Technician exam.
This program includes the following credential(s): Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Entry Level Certifications in Brakes, Steering and Suspension, Alignment, Manual Transmissions and Transaxles, and Electrical Systems.
