Description

This program is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.

Students will gain experience in the day-to-day operations of a working auto repair shop with real customers together with a systems-based classroom component. Through theory lectures, student-driven research, computer-based learning software, and lab training, students will spend time exploring each of the following systems: tools and equipment, preventative maintenance, engine mechanical, electrical systems, steering and suspension, brake systems, engine performance, fasteners, and welding

This program includes the following credentials: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Entry Level Certification-Automobile Service Tech., ACT National Career Readiness Certificate.
