Baking Arts | Certification

This program is intended for high school students attending from within the district. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply.

Description

The folding of a croissant, the lattice work of a pie β€” your hands will transform sugar, butter and flour into awe-inspiring creations in Baking Arts. Work in a real, off-campus bake shop and see, smell, and feel what it’s like to be in a professional setting. In lecture and lab, learn baking principles, methods and preparations, plus customer service skills, culinary math, and workplace skills. In-class tastings? Icing on the cake!

This program includes the following credentials: National Restaurant Association-ServSafe Manager, ACT National Career Readiness Certificate, National Restaurant Association-ServSafe Allergens.
