Computer Networking Technology & Cybersecurity Program | Certification

Description

This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.

Students will learn how hardware and software components work, as well as best practices in maintenance and safety issues. Through hands-on activities and labs, students learn to put together and set up a computer, install operating systems and software, and troubleshoot problems. In addition, this course includes an introduction to networking and characteristics of the Linux and Windows network operating systems will be discussed.

Students will explore a variety of topics including installation and configuration procedures. More advanced tasks such as troubleshooting issues, security issues, and remote access will also be covered.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion for Cisco CCNA Discovery: Networking for Home and Small Businesses.
