Cosmetology | License

This program is intended for high school students attending from within the district. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply.

Description

Cosmetology allows you to apply your artistic skills in an industry dedicated to helping people look and feel their best. This two-year program provides the knowledge and training necessary to succeed and prepares you for the Vermont State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam. Additionally, you'll explore a variety of career paths within the industry. In your second year, you'll gain hands-on experience running your student salon at CVCC, offering hair cutting and coloring, chemical texturizing, waxing, skincare, nail care, and makeup application services.

This program includes the following credentials: ACT National Career Readiness Certificate.

Successful participation in this credential is a pathway to eligibility for the Vermont Licensing Exam to obtain a Cosmetology License.
