The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Creative Writing is for students who will develop, or are developing, a significant practice as a creative writer in one or more of these literary genres: fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, dramatic writing, or hybrid forms.
The program supports a variety of genres, including: libretto, television writing, graphic novel, creative nonfiction, poetry, dramatic writing, fiction, speculative fiction, and more. By the end of the program, students will produce a creative thesis or senior study that demonstrates the skills they've learned in the program. Students will leave the program with a complete draft of a creative manuscript that has gone through a number of revisions.

While Goddard’s low-residency model allows our students to continue working while pursuing their degrees, most will need some assistance in putting together the cost of attendance. More than one third of our undergraduate students receive assistance through the Federal Pell or Student Educational Opportunity Grants.
