The CVCC Videography program exposes students to projects each week, providing the opportunity to write, produce, direct, and edit narratives ranging from short films and commercials to documentaries and music videos. The program is an intensive introduction to visual storytelling, digital filmmaking, film theory, and film production. Students will learn story structure and screenplay formatting, explore camera and lighting technology, cultivate teamwork, and master video editing software.The program is fast-paced, team-oriented, and full of opportunities for learning new skills and self-directed development. Each student writes and directs short films to master cinematography, directing, editing, producing, and script development.
This program includes the following credentials: ACT National Career Readiness Certificate, as well as Adobe certifications. Please contact the center for more information.

For high school students attending from within the district, there is no cost to this program. For students from outside of the district and adults who are not enrolled in high school, local scholarships and other funding sources may be available.
