This program is intended for adult students. High school students may be able to apply, as well.
This 115-hour State Board of Nursing-approved course focuses on essentials for nursing assistants, and safe and effective practices in the health care setting. Students learn the basics of assisting patients, body mechanics, ethics, and communication while preparing for licensing exam.
This program prepares for the following credential(s): Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA).

Grants, scholarships, and other funding sources are available. Depending on program type and student eligibility, one or more tuition assistance options may apply. For example, VSAC Advancement Grant, VDOL Adult CTE Scholarship, Curtis Fund Credential of Value Scholarship, and other forms of state assistance.
