As a Media and Communication student, you will thrive in a project-based environment that balances theory and practice. Working closely with faculty and peers, you will study the ways media interacts with society and produce video, news, social media, websites and scripts. There are many opportunities to sharpen your skills and demonstrate your work. Those include The Spartan newspaper and website, Castleton Internet Radio, the Content Lab, independent projects and internships.
Bachelor of Arts graduates in Media & Communication will be able to understand media from social, economic, political, ethical and global perspectives; effectively research and analyze media material; produce high quality media in visual, oral and written forms; and effectively apply media and communication skills in a rapidly changing real world environment.
