Respiratory Therapy | Associate Degree

Vermont State’s program will train you in the full spectrum of respiratory care: assessment, treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, education, and care of patients with deficiencies in their cardiopulmonary systems.

Nursing | Associate Degree

This degree program will prepare to take your Registered Nursing (RN) licensure exam in just one year. Vermont State’s associate in nursing program is the second year in our unique 1+1+2 track in nursing education. Students who enter this year of the program are already Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and are often working in nursing at the same time. This program allows you to earn a livable wage while working toward RN licensure and the many career opportunities that come with this next level of education.

Professional Studies | Associate Degree

The Professional Studies program prepares you for entry-level professional positions in a variety of settings. The program is designed to help the student master a wide variety of workplace skills. You also enjoy the flexibility to explore academic and workplace opportunities in various career fields or choose a single focus area.

STEM Studies | Associate Degree

CCV’s associate of science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Studies will prepare you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in key scientific and technical economic sectors in Vermont. In addition to the general education requirements, the STEM Studies degree includes 23 credits of core program requirements within the fields of science, technology, and math.

The program allows the flexibility to pursue your individual goals in fields such as physical science, life science, and pre-engineering. You may fulfill the program requirements through a combination of courses in allied health science, architecture, biology, chemistry, computer information systems, environmental science, mathematics, mechanical engineering technology, meteorology, and physics.

STEM Studies | Certificate

This certificate serves as a pathway into CCV’s STEM Studies degree and prepares you for transfer to engineering or other technical degrees. The program provides a strong foundation in science, mathematics, and other academic skills. Flexibility within the certificate allows you to select courses and build skills necessary for your own career and educational goals.

Web Development | Certificate

Web presence today means more than simply putting a navigable site out on the web. Developers must plan strategically, creating dynamic, engaging, user-friendly sites while organizing and generating content to maximize impact. The web development certificate enables students to develop the technical competencies that are required to plan, develop, and implement websites that are both appealing and useful combined with the skills necessary to market ideas online.

Studio Art | Certificate

This certificate prepares students as creative artists with instruction in the traditional fine arts media (drawing, painting, sculpture) as well as art historical and studio art elective courses. Students will explore principles of design, color, and composition to create engaging visual art projects, which can be displayed in a portfolio of work to access educational and career opportunities.

Information Technology | Associate Degree

CCV’s Information Technology (IT) program prepares students for the exciting and ever-changing field of information technology. Technology plays a vital role in all aspects of 21st century life. Organizations need skilled technicians to install, manage, and adapt complex information networks. As companies continue to expand their information systems, IT workers keep communications running smoothly and help to resolve complicated problems. Information technology professionals find employment in a wide array of industries.

Our curriculum provides students with foundational skills in networking, programming, and operating systems. Students will build depth of knowledge in at least one of three focus area options: cloud computing, networking, programming, or website development. The program also includes additional elective credits that may be used to explore other facets of this broad field and prepare you for important industry certifications.

Liberal Studies | Associate Degree

CCV’s associate of arts degree in Liberal Studies will introduce you to a wide range of subjects, providing a foundation for many different careers and for transferring to a four-year college or university. The Liberal Studies program is the most popular program of study among CCV graduates, accounting for nearly half of the degrees awarded each year. It is designed to include breadth and depth of learning, emphasizing exposure to a broad range of subjects and academic disciplines, and providing students with great flexibility in individual course selection.

Although the degree can be an end in itself, the majority of Liberal Studies graduates use it as their foundation for further academic pursuits. If you are uncertain about your long-term educational and career plans, the Liberal Studies program provides a valuable opportunity to explore your interests. The overarching objective of CCV’s Liberal Studies program is to produce graduates who are well-prepared to be active, contributing participants in their communities, their work settings, and their subsequent educational activities.

Media Communications | Certificate

This certificate prepares students to effectively use digital communications media. Courses in this certificate include marketing, communication, and software skills that may be used to enhance current employment and prepare individuals for a wide variety of careers using new media. In addition, students will critically engage with emerging trends in the study of human interaction with digital media.
