Automotive Technology Program | Certification

This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.

Automotive Technology is a multi-period, two-year program for 11th and 12th graders who are interested in the automotive industry for future employment. In this program, you will learn how to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair most systems in a vehicle, including the engine, computer controls, steering, suspension, brakes and electrical systems. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential in Automotive Technology, as the opportunity to diagnose and repair real problems on customers’ cars happens in class.

This program includes the following credential(s): Vermont State Inspection Certification; Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Entry Level Certification Maintenance & Light Repair; Tire Service Training & Certification; ACT National Career Readiness Certificate.

Business Leadership Program | Certificate

This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.

Business Leadership is a two-year program that focuses on personal and professional leadership development with a concentration in business. Students will explore principles and practices of business and entrepreneurship while developing leadership skills, professional work habits, communication, and human relations skills. Community-based and work-based learning are key parts of this program.

This program includes the following credential(s): ACT National Career Readiness Certificate.

Forestry & Natural Resources Program | Certification

This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.

Forestry and Natural Resources is a multi-period, two-year program for 11th and 12th graders focusing on land use and management. The program involves outdoor experiences in logging, sugaring, soils, forest management and heavy equipment. Students can compete in Future Farmers of America (FFA) competitions and participate in conferences.

This program includes the following credential(s): Game of Logging Chainsaw Safety Training Levels 1, 2, 3, 4; ACT National Career Readiness Certificate.

Medical Careers Program | License

This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.

Students will gain a thorough understanding of health related careers and gain skills in medical terminology, legal and ethical issues, basic first aid, nutrition, anatomy & physiology, diseases processes, and infection control.

This program includes the following credential(s): Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA); ACT National Career Readiness Certificate.

Human Services Program | Certificate

This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.

Human Services is a multi-period, two-year program for 11th and 12th graders providing the foundational knowledge and skills needed to work with a diverse group of people in entry-level professions such as mental health, community development, respite and health organizations, and education.
