Automotive Technology | Certification

This program is intended for high school students attending from within the district. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.

Description

Automotive Technology trains and prepares students to become automotive technicians or for jobs in related fields. Students are trained on HACTC shop vehicles. The program’s emphasis is on safe, honest, ethical and professional work habits and skills. The program follows a best practices approach to automotive repair. Students use individual skills as well as team-based learning to become good at problem solving and time management in addition to their automotive training.

This program includes the following credentials: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Entry Level Certification-Automobile Service Tech., ACT National Career Readiness Certificate, ASE Stu. Certification Maintenance & Light Repair
