As a Media and Communication student at Castleton University, you will thrive in a project-based environment that balances theory and practice. Working closely with faculty and peers, you will study the ways media interacts with society and produce video, news, social media, websites and scripts. There are many opportunities to sharpen your skills and demonstrate your work. Those include The Spartan newspaper and website, Castleton Internet Radio, the Content Lab, independent projects and internships.

Castleton’s Media and Communication alumni have gone on to create major network programming, garner credits in Academy Award-winning movies, and write and edit for large daily newspapers. They have also designed major websites, excelled at graduate school, provided public information for large businesses and non-profits, teach in high schools and universities, practice law and a wide array of other professional activities.
