Natural Resource Management | Certification

This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.

Description

This two-year program combines Conservation Equipment Operation, Wildlife Management, and Forest Science to prepare students for careers and post-secondary education in conservation, forestry, and environmental management. Through a mix of classroom learning, fieldwork, and industry collaboration, students gain a deep understanding of how to protect and sustainably manage forest ecosystems.

This program includes the following credentials: Game of Logging Chainsaw Safety Training Certification Levels 1, 2, 3, 4; Ducks Unlimited Ecology Conservation & Management; and LEAP Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certification.
