Jump On Board for Success (JOBS) Program

This program of the Lamoille Restorative Center and Spectrum VT is for out-of-school youth ages 16-22 with disabilities. The Jobs On Board for Success (JOBS) program helps participants:

  • Create employment portfolio, develop job seeking skills
  • Secure work-based learning opportunities, such as a job shadow or internship
  • Identify potential barriers to employment and communicate with employers
  • Secure housing

Earn Your GED

Vermonters without a high school diploma can earn a GED to show your ability. Anyone over the age of 16 who isn’t enrolled in high school can sign up for the online test. Learn more about the GED.

Fast Forward

Tech center students can take up to 2 college classes at their local tech center for free with a voucher. This allows you to work toward your technical center program requirements while getting a head start on college credits at the Community College of Vermont. Learn more about Fast Forward.

Early College

High school seniors attend college full-time during their senior year of high school. Classes are attended classes on a college campus or through a college online. This allows you to graduate from high school with an entire year of college credits and college experience under your belt. Learn more about Early College.

Dual Enrollment

High school juniors and seniors can take up to 2 college courses online, at a college campus, or at their high school for free. These courses count toward your high school graduation requirements and college credit. Learn more about Dual Enrollment or talk to your school counselor about it. 

Work-Based Learning

Explore a job or career during high school through hands-on learning and experience. This involves learning from people in specific jobs or industries on-the-job, online, or in a classroom. This can help you test out if you like a job understand what types of skills and education you may need for your career. Career and Technical Education

Earn your high school diploma while learning a career or technical trade at your regional technical center. Career and Technical Education programs are a great way for high school students to work towards graduation and explore, study, or complete training for your career. Vermont High School Completion Program

A program designed to help high schoolers at risk of dropping out finish your high school diploma. This program helps students understand what are the skills and topics they need to learn in order to graduate from high school.
