The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program draws from behavioral, natural and nursing sciences. Profiessional nursing at the University of Vermont is presented as both a science and an art. Students prepare for professional nursing practice through a rigorous curriculum that promotes the care of individuals with illness and emphasizes health and the prevention of disease. Clinical experience begins in the second semester of the sophomore year and continues throughout the program.
